I think the first moment when I was drawn to sneakers was when I first saw Space Jam. I just remember how the Space Jam 11’s were so futuristic with the patent leather. Just ahead of their time. But the pair that triggered it was the Metallic 5’s. Those were my first pair of J’s that I hooped in.
Buy what you like. Wear what you like.
Feel free to share photos of your work! I like to draw what I like. The purpose of this concept was to bring the plant and sneaker community together. Get sneakerheads familiar with types of plants and vice versa.
Out of the collection right now my Jordan 1 Low OG - Neutral Grey (2021), New Balance x Aime Leon Dore 550 - Green, Nike Dunk SB High (Ferris Bueller) have been in heavy rotation.
I would describe the feeling of getting new shoes as opening up the Christmas gift you've been wanting all year.
A sneaker collab that I wish would happen would be the Forty7th Studio x New Balance. I would love to put a personal touch on the New Balance 550 silhouette. Those guys at New Balance got some heat coming out.
Hmmmm, most underrated? This is a hard one but I'm going to have to say either the Notre Vans or the JJJJOUND Vans.
Some of my favorite brands at the moment are Kith (Ronnie Fieg), Aime Leon Dore (Teddy Santis), and Hidden NY. I like these brands because of their simplicity. Simplicity is the Key.
This is a hard one, but my ultimate holy grail would probably have to be the Nike Air Yeezy 2 (Solar) or the Off-White 4 Sail.
Some of my favorite sneaker-related creators are probably Tyler Mansour, my man Obra- Jay, and Andu C.
Some of the essentials would have to be my Apple pencil, paintbrush, and my books.
