What was the moment you first got drawn to sneakers, and which pair of sneakers triggered your passion?

I think I started being drawn to sneakers during my tumblr days haha. They weren't really popular in Australia when I was in high school, so I remember being inspired by a lot of accounts I followed from the US! I remember that I bought a pair of youth black and red Jordan 1 sneakers that looked like the Bred, but it was much affordable!

What’s one moment or trend in the history of sneaker culture that resonates with you?

Definitely the rise of sneaker collabs designed by women, for example Aleali May, Melody Ehsani, and Ambush.

Please describe how it feels to you when you get and wear a new pair of kicks?

I only buy sneakers that I'm really really into! So, I feel like lucky when I'm able to get the pair I want.

What are some of your favorite creators/designers or brands and why?

My all time favourite brands are Kapital and Visvim. Both of those brands use hand made and natural dye techniques to make their products, which personally add a lot of value. They also consistently release products that are quite different to what else is in the market.

What is one sneaker collaboration that doesn’t exist, but you wish/think should exist?

It would be cool to see a Kapital x Nike collaboration one day.

What are some of the current pairs of sneakers in your rotation?

Nike Dunk Vintage Green, New Balance ALD 1300 and Reebok Jjjjound Classic Nylon.

What is your ultimate holy grail sneaker that you have not managed to acquire so far?

I bought a pair of ASICS Gel-Lyte III x Ronnie Fieg Flamingo sneakers and then sold them on eBay a while ago. I regret it so much now, it's probably the only pair I would love to have at the moment.

Other than kicks, what are some of your daily essentials or treasured items?

My tote bags and denim collection! I feel like you can't go wrong with a pair of jeans, sneakers and a tote bag.
