What was the moment you first got drawn to sneakers, and which pair of sneakers triggered your passion?

The moment that sparked my passion for sneakers was back in primary school when one of my best friends showed up at school in OG Reebok pumps. In the 1980s, Reebok pumps had the newest technology and were the shoes to have!

What’s one moment or trend in the history of sneaker culture that resonates with you?

A moment in sneaker history that resonates with me is when Michael J Fox wore the Nike Air Mags in Back To The Future Part 2. This movie is one of my favorite movies of all time and was a huge part of my childhood.

Please describe how it feels to you when you get and wear a new pair of kicks?

This year I decided to buy brands I had never owned, such as New Balance, Asics, and Saucony. I am always super excited to open up the package and see how good the quality and comfort of the shoes are and of course, give them a big smell! #IYKYK

What are some of your favorite creators/designers or brands and why?

Kanye West, Jerry Lorenzo, and Salehe Bembury are some of my favorite designers/ creators. They are trailblazers of the industry and love to see how they influence others with their cutting-edge designs.

What is one sneaker collaboration that doesn’t exist, but you wish/think should exist?

There are a lot of Australian sneaker boutiques that I would love to see collaborations with! Upthere Store is killing it with New Balance and Asics. I would also love to see a Saucony collaboration!

What are some of the current pairs of sneakers in your rotation?

Some pairs in my rotation are the Velvet brown Nike Dunk, Upthere X Asics Gel-Lyte GT-II, and Teddy Santis New Balance 990v2 Marblehead Incense.

What is your ultimate holy grail sneaker that you have not managed to acquire so far?

I am a huge Mark Wahlberg and Macklemore fan, and I would have to say Wahlburger Jordan 4s and both of the Macklemore Jordan 6s are my ultimate holy grail sneakers!

Other than kicks, what are some of your daily essentials or treasured items?

My sock collection is definitely my daily essentials! Every pair of sneakers should have a contrasting sock that helps them pop!
