What was the moment you first got drawn to sneakers, and which pair of sneakers triggered your passion?

I got drawn to sneakers when I actually began to care about my sense of style and fashion. I originally copied my sister's outfit because I thought she knew best and had a better sense of fashion and I was never the stylish one.

It all changed once I finished high school and Covid hit. I had a complete wardrobe clean-out and realized I loved the street style look; hence my love for sneakers grew. I began to research, look up different street style outfits, and noticed that shoes were always unique! So that's when I purchased my first pair of Air Jordan 1s UNC to Chicago. I don't wear them much now, but they're the love of my life.

What’s one moment or trend in the history of sneaker culture that resonates with you?

I think it has to be the evolution of Air Jordans. They have gone through the trend rollercoaster. It resonates with me because, in one of their peaks, I found myself and what I love - sneakers!

Please describe how it feels to you when you get and wear a new pair of kicks?

Opening a new box of sneakers is like opening presents on Christmas morning! I'm that kid in a crazy Lilly store looking and trying everything! From the colors down to the styles, they are all unique. And when I wear them, I feel like my outfit is complete.

What are some of your favorite creators/designers or brands and why?

It would have to be Nike because they are so innovative and different. They're always thinking of new ways to present themselves and their brand.

What is one sneaker collaboration that doesn’t exist, but you wish/think should exist?

I love the Y2K vibe at the moment, so anything to do with Juicy Couture and Air Jordans would be a hit!

What are some of the current pairs of sneakers in your rotation?

My current pairs of sneakers on rotation are my Lined AJ4s, Mocha AJ1s, and my Uptempos in beige.

What is your ultimate holy grail sneaker that you have not managed to acquire so far?

This may be a weird sneaker to pick out of everything, but it would have to be the Fearless Air Jordan 1s.

Other than kicks, what are some of your daily essentials or treasured items?

My gold necklaces and rings are definitely daily essentials. I cannot forget my bags either.
