What was the moment you first got drawn to sneakers, and which pair of sneakers triggered your passion?

I think when I got my first pair of Jordans to play basketball. My mom got me Jordan 13 black and red. I was 6 years old at that moment and it was a different time in comparison to now. Today, the younger generation already knows sneakers. When I was 16, I started getting into Nike Air Max and started buying my own sneakers. But, I wasn't collecting in the real sense of the word.

What’s one moment or trend in the history of sneaker culture that resonates with you?

The moment NBA got more popular in Europe. And also, the sneaker culture that came with that. The rise of Jordan brand. Coming from a basketball shoe to a style icon.

Please describe how it feels to you when you get and wear a new pair of kicks?

I love putting a fit together around a new pair of sneakers. The matching of the colors and feeling good about it is priceless. The feeling of getting a pair of sneakers you want is great!

In my opinion, there is a difference in the feeling when you win a pair through a raffle than when you pay resell for a pair you want. The feeling of winning them through the raffle is the best. Such a happy feeling. If you go get them for resell, it is still a good feeling but you already know you are getting them. The excitement is a little less in my opinion.

What are some of your favorite creators/designers or brands and why?

There are a lot of designers I like. But my favourites are Yoon Ahn from Ambush because I love her vision and her designs! I love Virgil for sure. A lot of people think he just copied things. But he had an enormous impact on fashion in my opinion. I love Kanye as well and what he did with Adidas. Damn. Adidas and he made some out of the box silhouettes that are timeless.

Brand-wise, I like the brands that everybody likes: Nike, Jordan, and Yeezy. But I love discovering new brands that have a passion for what they do. I grew out of fast fashion and prefer buying good quality clothes with a story or certain vision.

What is one sneaker collaboration that doesn’t exist, but you wish/think should exist?

This is a difficult one because a lot has been done already. I can’t really think of anything at this time.

What are some of the current pairs of sneakers in your rotation?

I have a lot of different pairs – Jordans, Air Max, and Yeezy. Not keeping to one brand or one silhouette. If I like it, then I'll buy it. My current rotation contains Yeezy 700, Waverunners, Jordan 4 off-white, Sail, Air Max 1 x concepts heavy, wear Yeezy slides a lot at home (the comfort is unreal) and of course, Jordan 1s.

What is your ultimate holy grail sneaker that you have not managed to acquire so far?

Wow, there are a lot haha. I really want the Air Jordan 4 Kaws in my collection. I think that is going to be my next.

Other than kicks, what are some of your daily essentials or treasured items?

Books, art, collectibles like Bearbrick or other art toys. I am really into clothes as well. Always looking for cool stuff.
