Over the past couple of months, brands like N.HOOLYWOOD x INVINCIBLE and thisisneverthat have been applying their own twist to the 2000s model, and by the looks of things, it's set to get its own "Protection Pack" rendition very soon with the New Balance 1906D Protection Pack. Created by Chinese footwear designer Yue Wu, the 1906D Protection Pack comes in four monochromatic colorways including gray, black, white, and cream. Working on top of an engineered mesh base, jagged suede overlays wrap around the upper for that delightfully deconstructed look that we all know and love. The N-LOCK lacing system from the 1906R returns here, and all four pairs sit on top of black or white ABZORB midsoles for comfort and cushioning that's unlike anything else out there. They're also accented with fiery pops of red throughout for a look that's sure to turn heads.
