I was born in the late 80s, and as far as I can remember, Michael Jordan was always hyped as a basketball player known for his shoes. My room was full of MJ Posters, and I loved all his shoes. But the one pair which triggered me the most was the Jordan 3 White Cement 88 OG!
I played basketball in my high school days, and I loved to rock Jordans beside other brands such as Reebok, which were from Allen Iverson or Uptempos from Scottie Pippen, and Converse from Dennis Rodman. This was the moment I got involved with Jordans cause everyone who played rocked a retro Model.
At that time, my favorite Jordan I played in was the 13 Bred!
It feels like heaven - the moment you open the box, take a deep breath, and inhale the smell of a new pair is completely insane. I love it! What is more satisfying than rocking a new pair every day? When I hit the streets, I felt like having a Lamborghini or Ferrari on my feet, and all eyes were on me. I do shoe contact, not eye contact.
One of my fave designers was Virgil - RIP. I loved the way he did the designs, gave the J's a new fresh look, and used the material.
He took a retro that was not hyped at all and brought it back into the spotlight- everything he touched sold out immediately and was gold!
If I were honest, it would be my pair - Jumpman23 x nikeMIKE.
I honestly rock two to three months rotation with my over 100 pairs - sometimes I switch multiple times a day to wear them all. But my favorite pairs are Jordan 1, 3, 4, and 11.
It is the Jordan 5 Tokyo from 2011 - currently, they are up to 8K in my size, which is a US9.5.
Actually, it's all about shoes, from laces, sneaker balls, and cleaning stuff, to shoe trees.
