Even though we're literally only halfway through 2023, it's safe to say that this year has been one of the best ones yet for sneakers. It seems like every single week that goes by, more and more hype gets announced and released, and the next seven days are certainly no different. With coveted collabs from the likes of Stüssy and Jacquemus on the way, as well as some exclusive drops, if you're looking to add some hype to your collection then you're going to want to pay attention. Also, if you think any other pairs should be on this list, make sure to let us know over on Instagram and don't forget to follow us as well for the best content that the Asian sneaker community has to offer!
After a very, very long hiatus, the legendary Vandal silhouette has officially been brought back thanks to the Stüssy x Nike Vandal High "Deep Royal Blue." Part of a three-shoe collection, this dark navy hue is definitely the best of the bunch. Boasting a premium canvas construction, it's equipped with an embroidered Swoosh across the lateral and medial sidewalls as well as a Velcro-fastened strap that can be switched out for others. Pretty cool, huh?
Believe it or not, the Jacquemus x Nike J Force 1 Low "White" is one of this year's most hyped collaborations. Teased by Simon Porte Jacquemus back in January of this year, the French designer's take on the classic Air Force 1 is as unique as it gets. Boasting a luxurious all-leather upper, the usual Swoosh has been replaced with a single silver stud, and the woven midsole nods to the ACG Terra. While the JF1 is a women's exclusive, extended sizing means that guys can find a pair to squeeze into too.
The spiritual successor to the Air Jordan 5 "Toro Bravo" that dropped as part of 2009's "Raging Bull" Pack, the Air Jordan 6 "Toro Bravo" has been set alight in a spicy "Varsity Red" palette with matte black accents throughout. Crafted from supple suede throughout, a vented tongue and spoiler-like heel tab are both inspired by His Airness' very impressive sports car collection. This Air Jordan 6 is then finished with an icy blue rubber outsole underfoot, finalizing the fiery design.
Thanks to the Nike Dunk Low "Gone Fishing," hype surrounding the retro basketball shoe has reached all new levels. Featuring a very unique multi-textured design, the base is made from a ripstop nylon and is overlaid by supple suede paneling throughout. Soft yellow laces tie everything together, and to round it all off, a fish hook has been superimposed to the scaley Swoosh. Reel this one in if you can.
If you're not sure who Howard "H" White is, you're going to need to brush up on your Nike history. Essentially, this man is the Vice President of Jordan Brand and the founder of Nike's Believe to Achieve program. After 40 years with the company, he's finally getting his very own shoe with the Air Jordan 2 "H Wings." Painted in a crisp white, black, and malachite color scheme, the collar flaps feature a wing graphic and the insoles and heel are decorated with the "H" initial. The laces are also printed with "Power" and "Belief" on the tips, dedicated to the Believe to Achieve program's empowering initiative.
