After almost half a year of waiting, the hotly-anticipated Philllllthy x adidas NMD S1 is officially coming soon. Made in collaboration with the Filipino icon Phillip Leyesa, the Brooklyn-based designer has applied his signature style to the German sportswear brand's popular lifestyle silhouette, and the results are truly breathtaking. Unlike anything that we've seen before, let's take our closest look yet.
Crisp shots courtesy of Yankee Kicks, the Philllllthy NMD S1 boasts a bright blue Primeknit construction that's both flexible and versatile. Mesh panels feature across the lateral and medial sides complete with thick adidas Three Stripe branding, and a single gray suede tag is stitched onto the tongue for a premium look and feel. Underfoot, you'll find a chunky Boost midsole that, unlike previous NMDs, has been housed within a see-through unit. This is then finished off with a gum rubber outsole down below, which is made up of countless Trefoil logos, nodding back to vintage adi models like the Marathon Trainer. This all comes packed in a special edition shoebox that's definitely one for all of the collectors out there.
Now for that all-important release info. Set to drop worldwide on November 15th, the Philllllthy x adidas NMD S1 "Blue" is a definite must-own, especially if you're of Filipino heritage.
