Filipino Sneakerhead and Interior Designer: Dos Quidangen

What was the moment you first got drawn to sneakers, and which pair of sneakers triggered your passion?

Since grade school, I've always been a hoop guy, and most of my friends were also into sneakers. If I remember correctly, it was the time when AND1s were a huge thing. But what sparked my passion the most was Adizero Rose 2, and then it grew more with Jordan 1s.

What’s one moment or trend in the history of sneaker culture that resonates with you?

The collab culture! As someone in the creative, fashion, and clothing industries, I seriously love it! What's more to say? The creative approach of two to three brands or artists in innovating; is a treat!

Please describe how it feels to you when you get and wear a new pair of kicks?

I always feel like I'm a kid. You know that feeling when you get the toy you always wanted back then? It's like that! You open it up like it's Christmas; you adore it like it's your significant other. 😂

What are some of your favorite creators/designers or brands and why?

I love Kanye, Virgil Abloh, Jerry Lorenzo, Ronnie Fieg, Thinker Hatfield, and Yayoi Kusama. Like why not? In terms of creativity, they don't just innovate; they create.

What is one sneaker collaboration that doesn’t exist, but you wish/think should exist?

I cannot wait to see collaborations between Balenciaga x Jordan, Sean Wotherspoon x Jordan, Sankuzanz x Jordan, and Alyx x Crocs.

What are some of the current pairs of sneakers in your rotation?

My current rotations are Jordan 1 Travis Scott x Fragments High, Jordan 1 Taxis, Jordan 1 TS Low "Reverse Mocha," and Travis Scott x Nike Air Trainer 1 "Wheat."

What is your ultimate holy grail sneaker that you have not managed to acquire so far?

I hope to cop Air Jordan 1 Retro High Off-White Chicago "The Ten," A Ma Maniere x Nike Airship, and Jordan 4 Manila!

Other than kicks, what are some of your daily essentials or treasured items?

Basically, my clothes! A good shoe must be paired with fire fits! Fo sho!
