After releasing the CLOT x Converse Chuck 70 Hi "Panda Season" back in November, it looks like Edison Chen will be continuing this Asian-inspired theme with his upcoming CLOT x Nike Cortez. A collaboration that has been rumored for quite some time, the Hong Kong-based multi-hyphenate is celebrating 50 years of the legendary model in style, and here's everything that we know so far.
Featuring a clean monochromatic palette, CLOT's take on the Cortez features a crisp white leather base and is overlaid with a detachable bootie that covers the entire upper, resulting in a split design that's unlike anything we've seen before. A Swoosh shoots through the lateral and medial side panels for that classic look, and a toggle switch can be found around the back with the yin and yang symbol in tow. This martial arts-influenced aesthetic continues with the characters for "Kung Fu" finely embroidered at the heel.
The CLOT x Nike Cortez "Black" is expected to release alongside the "OG" color scheme as well as a "Varsity Maize" flavor. Set to drop sometime in Spring 2023, keep it locked at Ox Street's Nike page for your best chance to secure your size. In related news, the Nike Air More Uptempo "OG" is returning this year!
