I got drawn to sneakers pretty early. Even when I was in school, I always paid attention to sneakers I was wearing and extra careful so they don't get dirty or anything like that.
However, my sneaker obsession started a while back in 2017 when "The Ten" released. I downloaded the SNKRS App on the release day and got the Nike x Off White Air Max 97. Back then I didn't even know how lucky I was to get a W on this drop.
For me it's the era where Virgil Abloh started to collaborate with Nike in 2017 because everything started for me at this point. I associate my first real dive into the sneaker and streetwear/ fashionscene at that time.
My first "hypesneaker" was from "The Ten" and I also started my journey on Instagram with those kicks. The whole era in 2017 and 2018 from other brands like Vetements, Off White, Vlone, ASSC and many more was also the best in my opinion. This time and era got a really special place in my heart and after the sudden death of Virgil Abloh it became even more special and important to me.
It's always something special to me. Starting with unpacking them and of course the smell of a brand new pair of Jordans for example. If you know you know ;) Also the fact that those sneakers are more rare than ordinary shoes is interesting for me because you get the chance to stand out from others in a positive way.
When it comes to brands, I like Nike because its silhouettes always flattered me directly from the beginning of my passion about sneakers. For clothing, I tend to wear streetwear brands like FOG Essentials, Vlone, Supreme, and ASSC. However, I also love to wear fashion brands like Off White, Palm Angels, Bape, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Givenchy.
Similar to sneakers, I like to wear things that are limited and outstanding since I need a perfect match to my kicks. Talking about designers, my favorite was and will always be Virgil Abloh. As I said earlier, I resonated he whole interest and passion for sneakers and clothing with him. The way he designed shoes and other garments is still impressive to me.
Well that's a good question! When it comes to collaborations, my sneaker brand would definitely be Nike. The second brand would be Vlone. I know that there was already a small collab back then, but since there was a really small and complicated release only a few people had the chance to get something.
I also think that there would be much more potential between those brands when it comes to collaborating. It's important to mention that I only talk about the brands themselves besides the backstory between Nike and Vlone.
My current rotation includes Air Jordan 4s, like the Nike x Off White 4s or the Military Blacks. I also like Air Jordan 1s or Dunks a lot. So as you can see I'm a bit more into team checks than stripes.
My holy grail is the Nike x Off White Air Jordan 1 NRG. The reason for that is because I already own the Chicago and UNC colorway, so I need the third Air Jordan 1 to complete my collection.
Daily essentials for me are my smartphone, accessories like bracelets or rings, a bag, a power bank, my wallet, my car, bubble gum when I'm on road, a lint roller, and my computer. But I also like perfumes a lot and I treasure a good perfume very much.
