Ronnie Fieg is certainly no stranger when it comes to collaborations with New Balance. Over the past decade, the New York City-based fashion designer and the Boston sportswear company have worked together on countless occasions on everything from the 990 to the 993. Now, as the 30th birthday of the 998 looms closer and closer, the power duo are reuniting once again for the special KITH x New Balance 998.
Spotted on the latest issue of Japanese sneaker magazine Shoes Master, the pair strays away from Fieg's usual monotone aesthetic in favor of a multicoloured approach that's sure to turn heads wherever you go. Crafted from a combination of ballistic mesh and pigskin suede, the left and right pairs are painted in mismatched tones of brown, gray, mint, orange, red, and yellow. Underfoot, the crisp white midsole is infused with ABZORB technology for unrivaled comfort and cushioning with every step, and the collaborative shoe comes packed in an exclusive shoebox that's made for all the hardcore NB fans out there.
Our sources tell us that the upcoming KITH x New Balance 998 is set to drop within the coming weeks, so make sure you keep it locked at Ox Street to find out all of the deets as they come through.
