What was the moment you first got drawn to sneakers, and which pair of sneakers triggered your passion?

I am not sure when exactly I started loving sneakers, but the first pair that I loved was ASICS’s Japan S Eiji Sawakita Colour scheme.

What’s one moment or trend in the history ofneaker culture that resonates with you?

I never love to wear the same clothes as other since my younger age, even now I am a product designer. So when I cop sneakers, I always pay attention to its design, material, and the story behind them. However, I barely cop hype sneakers or the one with crazy price.

Please describe how it feels to you when you get and wear a new pair of kicks?

I can’t wait to open the package and wear it!

What are some of your favorite creators/designers or brands and why?

ASICS, Converse, Adidas Original. As I tend to dress Japanese style and streetwear style, I always love classic shoe shapes or those that have special colour schemes. It is easier for me to bring out my image.

What is one sneaker collaboration that doesn’t exist, but you wish/think should exist?

The first thing is my own brand collab with Converse, or ASICS collab with Applebum.

What are some of the current pairs of sneakers in your rotation?

ASICS JAPAN S x SLAM DUNK, ADIDAS FORUM LOW, and ASICS GEL - KAYANO 5 OG.

What is your ultimate holy grail sneaker that you have not managed to acquire so far?

ASICSx Ballaholic GELBURST 24 LOW.

Other than kicks, what are some of your daily essentials or treasured items?

As I am also a street basketball player, so most of the time I wear oversized shirt.
