What was the moment you first got drawn to sneakers, and which pair of sneakers triggered your passion?

It was actually back in 2015 when I was exposed to the Converse local community. I got my first Converse Chuck 70s Vintage Khaki not long after that, and eventually, it became my beater. I love 'em so much. Now sneakers have become part of my life!

Currently I work for a local sneaker brand, and I've been spending a lot of my time reading and watching everything about sneakers cultures. Converse Chuck 70s has become one of the first pairs that triggered my sneaker obsession the most.

What’s one moment or trend in the history of sneaker culture that resonates with you?

The late 1990s or early 2000s has been my favorite era at the moment. Even though I didn't grow up in those eras, I feel it resonates with my style. 

I love the culture in those eras, especially seeing a bunch of cool sneakers from then, like the Jordan 11s, the Air Max 95/90, the New Balance 992s, and so many more.

Please describe how it feels to you when you get and wear a new pair of kicks?

Whoah, the first thing I feel when I get a new pair or a long-awaited package to arrive is so much excitement.  I got my latest pairs last week and I couldn't sleep 😆. I can't wait to get my hands on those fresh new pairs! And also, wearing them is breaking into the next level of excitement ⚡️

What are some of your favorite creators/designers or brands and why?

Here are my picks:

Nike is on top of the list for my favourite brand which includes Jordan Brand and Converse. Actually the reason is simple - it is just how much their storytelling provokes emotion, even though the quality of the product is just average nowadays. Next is New Balance. I like it because they're crushing it with so many cool collabs and silhouettes at the moment.

Names like Jerry Lorenzo, Salehe Bembury, Teddy Santis, and Todd Snyder are my favorite creators. Every time they put out their work, they just always kill it ⚡️

What is one sneaker collaboration that doesn’t exist, but you wish/think should exist?

I would love to see Salehe Bembury give his touch to New Balance 992 since the silhouette is one of my favorites. Other than that, I think that would be Jerry Lorenzo or FOG on Adidas Classic running i.e. ZX 8000, or even he creates his own silhouette with Adidas.

What are some of the current pairs of sneakers in your rotation?

Well, this is one of my favourite part. For now, I love the aesthetic from the 2000s. Asics Gel-Kayano 14 became my recent rotation, the New Balance 327 was also my go-to, and not to forget to mention the Yeezy 700 Waverunner, which is such a beautiful silhouette.

What is your ultimate holy grail sneaker that you have not managed to acquire so far?

The one and only Jordan 1 OG Chicago is on my top wishlist.

Other than kicks, what are some of your daily essentials or treasured items?

Watches are another important stuff! For me, G-Shock is a must - my daily driver. Other accessories like a fitted cap or any type are also essentials.
