When it comes to wild and wonderful accessories, Louis Vuitton is certainly no stranger to them. Last year, the French fashion house revealed a paint can bag that immediately made headlines globally. Now, it looks like the luxury brand will be dropping another playful carrying option in the form of the Louis Vuitton Fortune Cookie Bag. Inspired by those little treats that you'd find in all of the best Chinese restaurants (which, interestingly, was invented in Los Angeles), this piece made its runway debut at Paris Fashion Week.
Designed to be used in two ways, the Fortune Cookie Bag can be worn as a simple clutch or as a wristlet. Crafted from scrumptious calf leather, a single zip runs across the curvature of the piece with premium silver hardware. LV's world-famous monogram pattern covered the entire accessory, and it comes with a detachable strap that reads "Creativity listens to the heart," paying homage to the little pieces of paper that you usually get from fortune cookies.
Funnily enough, each bag is packed in a transparent PVC package that keeps in line with the collection's whimsical theme. Featuring "Louis Vuitton" in a chunky font, the purple and white color palette and cheeky characters nod to Virgil Abloh's artistic era. Even though he isn't with us anymore, his influential legacy will continue to live on for many generations to come.
Set to drop very soon, while Louis Vuitton's Fortune Cookie Bag might not be for everyone, it's cool to see that even the world's most expensive brands can have a little fun every once in a while.
