Back in high school, I was really into K-pop, J-pop, and its culture. I fell in love with their street style, they were wearing oversized outfits and chunky and colorful sneakers. I took inspiration from their style and started wearing bright, funky printed Converse Chucks and bedazzled Ecko Reds.
Definitely, the 90s-inspired chunky sneaker trend will forever resonate with me, not just because it can be styled easily but because it's really versatile and can be worn all year round. I love how they can elevate any outfit!
Chunky sneakers are also extremely comfortable, for a person like me who's always out and about most of the time. Comfort is what I always look for when on a hunt for a sneaker.
It feels fulfilling to get a new pair because I don't really purchase sneakers that much, unless I spot a pair that screams me. Also, I am in my era where I should only purchase a sneaker that gives a statement and speaks for itself, and I'm still on the hunt for that pair!
My favorite creator is Yoon of AMBUSH, she's of the leading female creatives of today's pop culture.
I love how she takes inspiration for her designs from pop art, 90s anime, and retro sci-fi. Not to mention, I am obsessed with her experimental personal style. I love how she experiments from menswear pieces to bold pieces, for me that's really cool!
It would be awesome to have a Heaven by Marc Jacobs x Nike collab. I really love their aesthetic. I'd love to see their take on redesigning an Air Force 1 or an Air Max.
My current rotation is the Air Max Tailwind 4 Black Silver, Air Max TN Plus, and Air Max 95. I really love the look and feel of an Air Max shoe!
I would scream if I get my hands on the 032c x Adidas GSG TR.
I just got into collecting bags with unique styles; whether it's local, thrift, vintage, or any! So far, I'm in love with Filipino designer bags—to me, they're uniquely one of a kind
