What was the moment you first got drawn to sneakers, and which pair of sneakers triggered your passion?

The first pair of sneakers I remember being so excited about were hightop Converse when I was in 6th grade. I wanted them so badly for my birthday but they were sold out, so I got a pair 2 sizes too big because I wanted them so badly.

What’s one moment or trend in the history of sneaker culture that resonates with you?

I love platform sneakers. They are really in right now. I am only 5'2, so any excuse to get extra height is great in my book!

Please describe how it feels to you when you get and wear a new pair of kicks?

Getting a new pair of kicks is always so exciting for me! I love that with sneakers, they are both fashionable but also comfortable. I feel like I can truly conquer the world!

What are some of your favorite creators/designers or brands and why?

Nike, Converse, Balenciaga, Isabel Marant, and Golden Goose. I love how they each have their own obvious design where you know right away when you see their pieces who created them.

What is one sneaker collaboration that doesn’t exist, but you wish/think should exist?

I would love to have my own sneaker line! As a New Yorker, I walk around everywhere so sneakers are a must. However, it's so hard to find an elevated pair that's appropriate for business meetings, date nights, and casual days.

‍What are some of the current pairs of sneakers in your rotation?

I am currently obsessed with a pair of hightop, platform, corduroy Converse. I love that trends from when I was younger are back in style but in a different variation.

What is your ultimate holy grail sneaker that you have not managed to acquire so far?

Balenciaga Triple S Sneakers.

Other than kicks, what are some of your daily essentials or treasured items?

I think accessories can totally elevate an outfit so along with my kicks, I love a great designer bag, a pair of hoop earrings, and a layered gold necklace.
