Gamers rejoice! Images of a potential PlayStation x Paul George collaboration have recently surfaced, following their 2018 DualShock inspired partnership. The Paul George 5 basketball sneaker has been fittingly chosen to launch with two Sony PlayStation 5 colorways, to celebrate their accomplishments the past year and the fifth model of their lineups respectively.
Much like its predecessors, both of the PG 5’s colorways consist of white, blue, and black, a nod to the game console’s colors.
The first design sports a mostly white upper with black accents on the tongue and lining similar to the white outer shell and black of the console. This is complete with glowing blue highlights on the heel Swoosh, soles, and branding on the tongue.
The second design is covered in deep blue tones similar to the PS5’s system background screen. Its tongue, collar, and heels are contrasted with a solid white.
A gradient blue accents both colorways on the air cushioned outsoles that mimic the PS5’s DualSense 5 controllers. Mini “X”, “O”, square, and triangle icons that are found on the controller buttons are designed and printed onto the shoes for both designs as well. PS5 branding can be spotted on the heel, the side of the midsoles, the tongue, and hang tag.
The Nike Paul George 5 “PlayStation 5” is said to release this year at a price of $110 USD.
