Hi Rachelle, could you share a bit about your secret origin story?

I’m currently a graduating Medical Technologist student and a Creative Director of Fawn (a clothing line based in Los Angeles). I’ve been a varsity volleyball player since elementary school and also play golf. I started to develop a love for sneakers when I was in middle school. When I was about 13 years old, my campus crush at the time was a skater so I want to get his attention by wearing skateboard shoes like Vans and Nike’s Janoski. That was when I started to love and collect sneakers. I started with the Nike Janoskis and from then on my passion for sneakers started to grow. My love for streetwear started after I begun paying attention to sneakers.

What's your current favorite pair of sneakers?

At this moment, it would have to be my Jordan 4 Off-White “Sail”.

What drew you to this particular pair of sneakers?

Its colorway and monochromatic look is immaculate and is versatile enough to match any outfit.

What’s your personal sneaker collecting philosophy?

Comfort over style/hype.

What’s your dream hype sneaker you wish to acquire but don't have so far?

It would be the Jordan 1 Retro Fragment.

What's a day in Rachelle Ruth’s life?

Because of the pandemic, my whole week would be full of taking pictures for my Instagram, making Tiktok and YouTube videos, playing golf and online shopping.
