The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Chicago’ is one of the most well-coveted sneakers of all time, instantly recognizable with its iconic white, black, and varsity red colorway. First released in 1985 and retroed in 1994 and 2013, with the most recent comeback was in 2015. Known for its rich history where it was designed to avoid Jordan’s $5,000-per game fines from the NBA after the original black and red colorway was banned for not having the color white that was part of the Chicago Bull’s official team colors.

These legendary high tops come with white leather uppers and red overlays, with a black Swoosh as well as the black “Wings” logo. Black is also found on the collar and laces, and the shoes are complete with a white midsole and red outsole. Staying true to the OG characteristics, the 2015 rerelease also retained the Nike Air logo on the tongue and omitted the Jumpman heel logo which was not part of the series at that point in time.

The colors red and white seem to speak retro, as the Air Max 1 OG 'Anniversary' 2017 Rerelease joins our list as the next retro classic to cop. A rerelease of the 1987 OG University Red colorway, they were released on Air Max Day 2017 to honor the well-loved silhouette’s 30th anniversary.

All-white sneakers are the way to go for any retro outfit and daily wear, for an easy-to-match choice and our top pick is the Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘07 ‘White’. It takes a modern spin on the iconic low tops, released in honor of the cult-classic silhouette’s 25th anniversary back in 2007. They have since been constantly restocked due to their popularity and have become essential to many. The sneakers feature upgraded, crispier  10A fullgrain white leather uppers with matching white Air-cushioned rubber sole for a sleek monochromatic look that one can’t help but love.

New Balance 550 'White Team Red'

When it comes to retro, you can’t go wrong with the New Balance 550 silhouette. We recommend the New Balance 550 'White Team Red'. Showcasing a simple color palette, the sneakers are mostly white with red and black details. The vintage hoops shoe was originally released in 1989, and is still a timeless piece that can be enjoyed today.

The raised ‘N’ logo on the quarter panel and basketball graphic on the woven tag comes in bright red, which really highlights these details. Chuck 70 Low Top 'Parchment'

Having one of these back in school instantly made you the coolest kid back then, and it remains a favorite for adults that is easy to grab with any outfit as well. The Chuck 70 Low Top 'Parchment' is for those who think white is too basic and choose to opt for this creamy off-white shade instead. Dating back to the original Chuck Taylor All Star from 1970s, Converse reimagines the retro silhouette with modern design elements while retaining the brand’s history and heritage. The sneaker blends the classic style but comes with heavier-grade canvas uppers and higher-profile rubber midsoles. It retains iconic elements like the star-centered heel patch and vulcanized rubber outsole for that retro chic look.
