Sean Wotherspoon has been the brain behind some of the industry's most iconic sneaker collaborations. From ASICS to Nike, the American fashion icon has also taken on some of adidas' most storied silhouettes. Now, after a brief hiatus, the Round Two co-founder has taken to Instagram to announce his next project with the German sportswear company, and we think it might be one of his best ones yet.
Dubbed the Sean Wotherspoon x adidas Gazelle "Hemp," as its name states it's crafted from the environmentally-friendly material, which is becoming more and more popular these days. Featuring an intricately woven green and white upper, the laces are made from recycled paper and the tongue is actually infused with old sneakers, in hopes that less waste will go to landfill.
Elsewhere, the Gazelle's midsole features a full gum rubber construction, and the insole is decorated in cork complete with co-branded detailing, that's printed using plant-based inks for an extra sustainable fit and finish.
