Other than being obsessed with sneakers and streetwear at Ox Street, we’re also big movie buffs. After watching Shang-Chi, we’re in total awe at how MARVEL turns little-known characters such Shang-Chi played by Simu Liu into household names.

Being in Asia, we’re happy that MARVEL has a ‘Major’ Asian superhero that’s not just a thin stereotype but a well-fleshed-out character with a solid sense of emotional gravitas. (ok maybe not the first, WONG counts as well doesn’t he?).

Tony Leung plays the antagonist in this film to an epic degree. Fans of Asian cinema will be wowed by how he fits so perfectly as the film’s primary nemesis, providing much of the core motivation and struggle behind Shang-Chi’s character development.
