Hi I’m Brennan and I come from Singapore - The year was 2015 when I remember fondly slipping on my first pair of adidas UltraBOOST. The instant comfort from the pair struck me and before i knew it- I belonged to that initial little fanfare club of BOOST heads.
A pivotal moment that resonates to all Sneakerheads including myself would be 2017’s "The Ten", which includes the deconstruction of ten iconic Nike silhouettes by Founder and CEO of Off-White, Virgil Abloh. The 10 shoes allowed the world to see sneaker design in a different light through Virgil's visionary - hand-cut, open-source and reconstructed design process.
It’s really an addiction at this point – I obtain about 5-7 pairs every month and the whole experience of unboxing a new pair of shoes, figuring out how the pair best fits with what you have in the wardrobe, to the actual executional stage of stepping out in a fresh pair of kicks is probably something most sneakerheads can relate too.
Sneakerheads love sneakers, but it is important to know how to dress as well. After all, the jawnz maketh the sneakerhead and some of my favourite brands include A Bathing Ape & WTAPS.
I have been obsessed with a Street Dance style known as Locking since 2010 so anything that brings the street dance together with sneakers - sign me up. Probably the closest instance where both scenes collided would be on this pair of Les Twins x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Fearless', which is a Jordan brand collab with two multi-talented, Hip Hop Dancers who go by Laurent and Larry Nicolas aka Les Twins.
I’ve been getting pretty heavy into the New Balance wave as of late with age, but my current sneaker grails in my humble collection of about 130+ pairs would definitely be the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Mocha' as well as the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'UNC' – Blue is my favorite color!
A pair of Dior x Air Jordan 1 Highs - hopefully I’ll be able to get them someday.
You will almost never find me without an outer wear in my bag.
