This year marks A Bathing Ape's 30th anniversary, and as well as dropping their own take of the adidas Forum Low, the Japanese label will also be revealing an all-new silhouette in the form of the BAPE CLUTCH STA. Making its grand debut in "Olive" and "Grey" color options, make sure you keep reading to find out everything that we know so far.
With a mid-top design, the CLUTCH STA bears a striking resemblance to the iconic BAPESTA, just with an extended ankle for additional support. Crafted from a full leather construction, the legendary shooting star motif glides across the lateral and medial sidewalls, while perforated panels across the collar and toebox offer a basketball shoe-like aesthetic.
Crisp white laces tie everything together, and all of this sits on top of a rubber midsole that's as comfortable as it gets. The CLUTCH STAs are then finished off with glossy '93 orbs around the heels, nodding to the year that Nigo started the brand and changed the course of streetwear history.
The BAPE CLUTCH STA is set to drop sometime in July, with even more colorways set to be announced very soon. Let us know what you think of this upcoming model, and while you're here, here are 5 Japanese designers that you should definitely know about!
