There's no debating the fact that the Air Jordan 1 High is one of the most iconic sneakers ever made. First released back in 1985, Michael Jordan's flagship basketball shoe has seen hundreds, if not thousands, of colorways and collaborations in its almost four-decade-long history. Now, it looks like American singer, actress, and dancer Teyana Taylor is getting her very own pair as we take our first look at the Teyana Taylor x Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2. Taking on His Airness' comfort-focused model, make sure you read on to find out what we know so far.
Nicknamed "A Rose From Harlem," which is the neighborhood in New York City that Taylor was born and raised, this AJ 1 boasts a full leather construction and is painted in a red, white, and brown color combination. The lateral side boasts a low-slung Nike Swoosh with zig zag stitching, while the medial version is embroidered with a series of thorns to fall in line with the collaboration's theme.
"TEY" is finely stitched across the tongue tags, and because this is a CMFT model, the midsole is infused with Zoom Air technology which is housed within Jordan Brand's newly-developed Formula 23 foam for cushioning and response that's from another level. All of this is packed within a special edition shoebox that's made for all of the Spike Tee fans out there.
The Teyana Taylor x Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2 "A Rose From Harlem" is rumored to be releasing this Summer, so make sure you keep it locked at Ox Street's dedicated Air Jordan page for your best chance to cop. Let us know what you think of this upcoming collab, and in related news, the Air Jordan 1 High OG "Washed Pink" gets dressed in soft suede.
