Celebrating the Air Pegasus line's 40th anniversary.

From the Air Jordan 1 High to the Air Force 1 Mid, all the way to the Dunk Low, COMME des GARÇONS is certainly no stranger when it comes to coveted collaborations with Nike. Over the past decade or two, the Rei Kawakubo-helmed fashion house has dropped some of the most hyped sneakers of all-time, and it looks like the style icon will be doing it once again this year with the upcoming COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Air Pegasus 2005. The perfect tribute to the vintage line, which is celebrating its 40th birthday this year, make sure you read on to find out everything that we know so far.

As with CDG's rendition of the Air Foamposite and the Air VaporMax, the Air Pegasus 2005 arrives in "Triple White" and "Triple Black." Featuring a breathable mesh base, premium leather overlays wrap around each of the shoes for a luxurious look and feel. Unlike last year's Air Max Sunder, the changes that have been made are quite minimal here, but that doesn't take away from how striking it is.

A 3D Swoosh shoots across the laterals and medials for added depth, and unlike the OG from '05, "Air Pegasus" has been added to the tongue, and "Full Length Nike Air" makes its way to the chunky midsole underfoot, just in case you didn't know that this unit was made using the Beaverton brand's critically-acclaimed cushioning technology.

Expected to drop sometime this Fall, the COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Air Pegasus 2005, like most other CDG x Nike collabs, will sell out almost instantly. Let us know what you think of this premium pack, and in related news, Yoon Ahn just teased the AMBUSH x Nike Air Force 1 Low "White"!
