Hype surrounding ASICS has been an an all-time-high as of late. Following collaborations with JJJJound, Naked, and Pleasures, the Japanese sportswear giant is adding yet another high heat partnership to its portfolio with the HAL STUDIOS x ASICS GEL-1130 "Forest." Teaming up with Highs and Lows' in-house creative division for a second time, this special colorways pays homage to the dense and lush forests that are scattered across the Japanese countryside.
Working on top of a dark green mesh base that's as breathable as they come, this is overlaid by brown and white leather accents and dark charcoal suede that wraps around the toe box and Tiger Stripes. A dash of orange features around the back as a nod to Shinto gates, and you'll also find "HAL STUDIOS" pull tabs here as well to remind you that this isn't any old ASICS shoe.
Down below, you'll find a highly-sculpted GEL midsole in "Antique White," and this is reinforced with a TRUSSTIC support system for extra stability beneath the foot, finalizing the design.
Coming in a special edition shoebox, the HAL STUDIOS x ASICS GEL-1130 "Forest" arrives with a custom keychain, two pairs of waxed laced, and a pair of brown socks. Released on October 5th, if you took a L don't worry, as it'll be available on Ox Street very soon.
