From New Balance to PUMA all the way to Vans, Justin Saunders' JJJJound brand has worked with some of the industry's biggest names. Following the release of the Montreal-exclusive JJJJound x New Balance 990v3 "Brown," images of a potential JJJJound x adidas Samba collaboration have now surfaced online, and while this was certainly unexpected, it was very much expected at the same time.
Hype surrounding the seven-decade-old silhouette has recently hit an all-time high. From Pharrell Williams to Sporty & Rich, the fashion scenes most influential icons have all released their own takes on the retro runner, so it was only a matter of time when JJJJound would do the same. Spotted here in two color options, the first one boasts a black leather upper with contrast white stripes, while the other pair is outfitted in beige shaggy suede with brown nubuck detailing. Both Sambas sit on top of gum rubber sole units, complete with JJJJound branding finely debossed around the heel.
Not much else is known about the JJJJound x adidas Samba collection at this moment in time, but our sources tell us that they'll drop early next year. Let us know what you think of this upcoming partnership, and while you're here, you might as well take a look at our adidas page and grab a grail.
