Back in the late '90s, Terror Squad was one of the most influential hip-hop collectives in the world. While collaborations with artists and musicians are pretty normal nowadays, back then they were beyond rare. So the fact that Nike approached the Bronx-based group for a set of exclusive Air Force 1s tells you a little bit about how big they were. While these colorways were made exclusively for each of the nine members and never released to the public, after almost two decades, things are finally about to change.
The first colorway to be revealed is the classic black and white color combo that was originally made for Terror Squad leader, Fat Joe. Bearing a striking resemblance to the ever-popular Dunk Low "Panda," this pair boasts a clean black and white palette that's inspired by the duality of yin and yang. Crafted from premium leather throughout, perforations make their way throughout the toe area for added ventilation, and contrasting flat laces tie everything together.
A Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial sidewalls, and around the back you'll find "TS" branding for Terror Squad, and "JC" stitched along the heel badge, which stands for "Joe Crack," Fat Joe's nickname.
Expected to drop on August 19th, make sure you keep it locked at Ox Street's dedicated AF1 page for your best chance to cop the Terror Squad x Nike Air Force 1. Let us know if you'll be adding these to your collection this summer, and in related news, the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid "Sheed" has been unveiled!
