Travis Scott has been putting out some of the hottest kicks lately with high profile collaborations with brands like Dior and fragment design. Now he will be working on the Nike Air Max 1 silhouette in reportedly 5 colorways. Here is a sneak peek at some of the colorways we have seen so far.
Compared to the predominantly warm tones in the rest of the line up, the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 “Cave Stone” sports cooler hues made up of dark grey, silver, white, and a pastel green. Light grey mesh underlays cover the base of the sneaker, with the mint green suede overlays on the quarter panel and forefoot. A nice touch are the checkered straps can be found attached on the eyestays and heels.
Scott’s iconic backward Swoosh comes in a textured light grey white white embroidered outline that makes it pop against the different textures. A dark charcoal color can be found on the heels, mudguards and the entire sole.
First spotted on La Flame himself in May, fans can now get a closer look at these earth toned kicks. The “Baroque Brown” sports a pale yellow Lemon Drop rectangle-patterned mesh paired with the signature Baroque Brown overlays on the collars, heels and mudguards. A tan warm brown balances out the harsh contrast with its mid-tone shade on the forefoot, quarter panel and tongue.
The red and white shoelaces add an adventurous pop of color, while a tri-colored strips can be found connecting the overlays to the eyestays and heels. Besides the reversed Swoosh, Scott’s branding can be seen with Cactus Jack embellishments on the heel and tongue badge. A cream colored midsole around the Air Max cushioning unit sits on top of the dark brown outsole.
Covered predominantly in Saturn Gold, the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 “Wheat” is sure to stand out in any occasion. First teased on La Flame’s Instagram post, the “Wheat” is the only one in the Air Max lineup so far that does not feature colorblocking overlays. Instead, it comes mostly in a golden yellow mix of mesh, nubuck leather and even down to the rubber soles.
The gold is accented by Tea Tree Mist found on the rubber Cactus Jack logo on the tongue, a brown triangle with Nike and Cactus Jack branding stitched on to each side, grey shoelaces, and a pop of brown on the straps found near the tongue and around the heel. While the midsoles are also covered in yellow, the outsole nicely rounds out the look with a dark brown color.
The Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 is said to be priced at $160 USD, and will likely hit the shelves this holiday season though no exact release date has been announced yet.
