Earlier this year, South Korean style icon Yoon Ahn dove head first into Nike's archives to bring back the legendary Air Adjust Force. A classic model 1996, she took the retro sneaker to a modern dimension with a fully reworked strap design and futuristic elements throughout. Now, the Dior Homme Jewelry Design Director has taken to Instagram to tease her next Beaverton collaboration with the AMBUSH x Nike Air Force 1 Low collection - and here's everything that we know so far.
Bearing a striking resemblance to Yoon's Dunk High project, the first thing that you'll notice about these Air Force 1s is the Swoosh that shoots way past the heel. Giving off a unique aesthetic that looks like it's speeding right by you, there's nothing else quite like it out there. You'll also find a custom AMBUSH-branded heel counter that wraps around the back of each sneakers for added structure and support. This is then complemented by a metal "AF-1" dubrae along the lacing system.
In terms of colorways, the AMBUSH founder posted a photo of a "Chicago" colorway, but other sources are showcasing "Triple Black" and "Triple White" options as well. These all come packed in special edition shoeboxes that are decorated with the Tokyo-based label's logo along the sides in a white, capitalized font.
At this moment in time, not much else is known about the AMBUSH x Nike Air Force 1 Low. With that said, 2022 marks the 40th anniversary of the classic Bruce Kilgore-designed basketball shoe, so don't be too surprised if these release before the end of the year. Let us know which colorway you're feeling the most, and while you're here, you might as well check out all of the Air Force 1s that Ox Street has to offer!
