My older cousins were crazy sneakerheads. I looked up to them and their style from a young age. I was around 12 when I got my first pair of 'cool' Jordans. From that day, sneaker was like a drug to me, which I'm still addicted to, even almost 15 years later. My all-time favorite and what started it for me was the Jordan 1 Chicago.
No moment really defines sneaker culture for me. I would say it's more of a feeling than a memory when I think of shoes. The way I feel when I wear my sneakers is like nothing else. However, I'd say that street style in the US was always a part of sneaker history that resonates with me: how people put outfits together and rocked their sneakers.
I got a feeling I honestly can't describe, but genuine happiness comes to mind.
Aleali May was always a huge inspiration for me as her style and flavor were unique and different. I have always loved Nigo, too, and he's one of my favorite designers.
I cannot wait to see the collaboration between Jordan and Carhartt!
I try to wear all my sneakers pretty regularly. However, I've been wearing the Jordan 1 Travis x Fragment Low, Jordan 1 Dior Low, Air Force 1 Off-White Complexcon, Nike Sacai VaporWaffle, NikeCraft Mars Yard 2.0, and the Jordan 4 Union Noir the most lately.
I'm lucky enough to have copped many of my favorites and grails. But I am missing the Jordan 3 A Ma Maniere, which I'm keeping an eye out for.
I've always been a huge tech person, so I can't live without my tech toys.
