For this week's Editor's Picks, the sneaker game has blessed us with a bunch of coveted collaborations and special editions. A good week for collabs from across the globe, Joe Freshgoods and AMBUSH both kick everything off with a pair of sneakers that you seriously don't want to miss out on. If you see any other pairs that you think should have been on this list, make sure to let us know over on Instagram and don't forget to follow us as well for the best content that the Asian sneaker community has to offer!
It was extremely hard to choose which colorway was the best out of Joe Freshgoods' latest New Balance collection, but if were forced to select just one then it would probably be the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 993 "Powder Pink." While the other two were available at retailers worldwide, this pastel pink pair was exclusive to JFG and is no doubt the most limited one. Part of Teddy Santis' "Made in USA" line, it's crafted from soft pink suede throughout and is contrasted with creamy tones along the laces and ABZORB midsole for a strawberries and cream-like aesthetic. One of our favorite collabs of the entire year, make sure you secure your size right now.
Earlier this year, Yoon Ahn revived the legendary Air Adjust Force in two monochromatic options. If you weren't a fan of either of these, then you're in luck, as the South Korean fashion designer has added a pop of color to it with the AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust Force "University Blue." Crafted from soft leather throughout, the sockliner is dipped in a striking red while the midsole opts for a stealthy black. This comes accompanied with a custom strap that wraps around the entire upper, complete with glossy Swoosh branding across the board.
Manila's very own TITAN is one of the biggest names in Filipino basketball culture, and we're pleased to see that it has officially gained a collaboration with Jordan Brand for the TITAN x Air Jordan 2 Low "Sail." Outfitted in tumbled leather, supple suede, and textured corduroy, the result is a future classic that will no doubt turn heads whether you're on the city streets or the basketball court. This all sits on top of a lightly-speckled Air midsole and rubber outsole combination. Kicking off the AJ 2 hype, this has got to be be one of the best colorways to release in the past five years, so grab your pair and support the Philippines.
Earlier this month, we reported that the Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Clog "Kuwata" was in the works, and it just dropped out of nowhere this week. Inspired by Japanese cherry blossom trees, this peachy pair is crafted from Croslite foam and features a unique fingerprint-inspired design that's signature to the New York City-based creative. A rugged strap around the heel offers the ultimate lockdown fit, while a rubberized toecap to the front helps prevent any wear and tear on the rest of the upper. This all comes packed within a special edition cardboard shoebox that's definitely one for the collectors out there.
And last but not least, we have the Nike Dunk High "Somos Familia." Launched as part of the Beaverton brand's annual Día de Muertos collection, this special edition colorway has been released just in time to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month. Placing family at the forefront, it's crafted from canvas, corduroy, and suede and is done up with a vast selection of colorful patterns and motifs throughout. All of this is then finished off with a gum rubber outsole underfoot, and a "Somos Familia" logo that adorns the insole and heel.
