Hiroshi Fujiwara is certainly no stranger when it comes to Converse collaborations. Since the early 2000s, the godfather of Japanese streetwear has worked with the All Star brand on countless projects, but the upcoming fragment design x Converse Weapon might just be their biggest one yet. Bringing back the old school silhouette, which originally released back 1986, here's everything that we know so far.
Giving the Weapon his signature "Sport Royal," white, and black color palette, it boasts a premium full leather construction that's soft and smooth to the touch. The iconic Star Chevron graphic is cut out across the lateral and medial sidewalls, while fragment's double lightning bolt motif is debossed around the heels, just like what you'd find in their Nike collabs. The sneaker is then finished off with a rubber midsole underfoot, that's sure to dominate both on and off the court.
While the Weapon did appear throughout the CX line in 2021 and Rick Owens' TURBODRK collection, the marks the first time that the model is returning in its original form since its prime.
The fragment design x Converse Weapon is set to launch on May 11th, with more colorways expected to be announced very soon. Let us know if you'll be adding these to your collection later this month, and in related news, COMME des GARÇONS is taking on the Converse Pro Leather for Summer 2023!
