I'm a big basketball fan and when you speak of basketball, sneakers will always be a part of it. Growing up, seeing the likes of Jordan, Kobe, Penny etc. wearing their signature sneakers makes me wish that I hope one day I get to wear them too.
Fast forward to 2016, I bought my first Kobe 11 'Achilles Heel', and from that day on, my collection grew. Proud to accomplish something that I only dreamt of when I was a kid.
I am currently working as an Electro-Technical Officer onboard a tanker vessel. My job mainly focuses on making sure all electrical/electronic equipment works properly. My contract usually takes four until six months, and I usually do my collecting during vacation.
As a sneakers collector, all I can say is I love all my shoes. But to answer your question, I will choose two: Jordan 1 Union Blacktoe and Kobe 6 Grinch (still DS).
Jordan 1 Union Blacktoe because of its uniqueness, quality, quantity (limited release), and Jordan 1 is my all-time favorite sneakers. Kobe 6 Grinch is my grail. It's a must-have sneaker if you are a big Kobe fan like me!
I don't have a philosophy when it comes to collecting sneakers. If it catches my eye, I’ll buy it.
In terms of brand, I’m a Nike guy so most of my pairs are made by Nike. For signature shoes, I only buy Jordans and Kobes.
My dream hype sneaker that I wish to cop if I could is Jordan 1 Union Storm Blue (to complete the pack), Jordan 3 AMM, and I would like to complete my numbered Kobe collection if I could.
My day-to-day style is more about comfort. I usually start with what sneakers I would wear and then will try to match my outfit with the sneaker I’m gonna wear. I'm also collecting socks to match my shoes.
