What was the moment you first got drawn to sneakers, and which pair of sneakers triggered your passion?

My first ever sneakers were the Vans Old Skool in black. Back then, I wore them because they were stylish and comfortable.

When I started dating my fiancé, my then-boyfriend, we began coordinating outfits, including shoes. He had always been a sneakerhead, and it grew on me. I became more interested in sneakers when I saw Nike Low Dunks in University Blue.

What’s one moment or trend in the history of sneaker culture that resonates with you?

Most probably, sneaker customizations resonate a lot with me. I love seeing people get creative with their sneakers and make them unique.

Please describe how it feels to you when you get and wear a new pair of kicks?

A new pair of kicks definitely makes me confident. It elevates my look, and I feel best when I look good.

What are some of your favorite creators/designers or brands and why?

Simon Porte Jacquemus is one of my favorite designers, and his brand is amazing. The creative direction of all his fashion shows often leaves me in awe.

What is one sneaker collaboration that doesn’t exist, but you wish/think should exist?

There is this guy on TikTok - @daoudldn who designs sick collabs of celebrities and Nike. Tyler, The Creator's Golf collection with Nike Dunk Low, would make a fire collaboration too.

What are some of the current pairs of sneakers in your rotation?

Some of my current pairs are Nike Dunk Low Panda, New Balance 327, and 990v5.

What is your ultimate holy grail sneaker that you have not managed to acquire so far?

I would say it's the New Balance 550 x Aimee Leon Dore.

Other than kicks, what are some of your daily essentials or treasured items?

I can't leave the house without my shades.
