This is my story of how I got into sneakers. Nineteen years ago, I was at a karaoke party and saw highlights of Michael Jordan. I was starstruck and curious about what sneakers he was wearing. I suddenly fell in love with them and didn't realize at that time that I was already a sneakerhead.
Years passed, and when I got my first pair of Jordan 11 Breds, I tried them on and played basketball in them. At that time, I felt like Mike.
I think during my high school days, basketball and skateboarding were the trends. Back in the day, these were two sports I used to play. Sneaker culture in these sports was a big thing.
Many hyped sneakers also came out at that time, such as 'Galaxy Foams,' 'South Beach 8s,' 'Tiffany Dunks,' 'SB Janoski,' 'Jordan 1 Chicago,' and many more. So at that time, I started to become deeply interested in sneakers.
My current rotation consists of Nike Dunks, Air Max, Jordan 3s, Nike Air Force 1, Jordan 4, and of course the Jordan 1.
The feeling of getting a new pair of sneakers is one of the best feelings in the world. I feel very happy and excited when I cop a new pair.
I just love to stare at them at first, then think later about what outfit will look good with them.
Jordan Brand x Aimé Leon Dore.
My favorite creator/designer is Jerry Lorenzo. I like his brand, Fear of God. I love the materials, tones, and coziness of each piece, and lastly, the brand speaks quality.
