Chitose Abe is widely regarded as one of the most talented Asian designers of our generation. The mind behind some of the most hyped hybrids that the sneaker world has ever seen, including the LDWaffle and the VaporWaffle, her shoes are made to turn heads wherever you go. With that said, for her latest (and completely unexpected) release, she's gone down a slightly more understated route.
Aptly dubbed the sacai x Nike Air Force 1 "Triple White," Abe's take on the Bruce Kilgore classic features a full leather construction and is painted in an all-white color palette. The Nike Swoosh is delicately embroidered across the lateral and medial sidewalls, and just like the Travis Scott x Nike Air Force 1 "Cactus Jack" from 2019, a custom shroud has been created to cover the lacing system, resulting is a seriously rugged aesthetic. This is elevated with stainless steel hardware throughout, finalizing the simple yet striking Air Force 1 design.
Dropping alongside a custom hoodie, the sacai x Nike Air Force 1 "Triple White" will be dropping via raffle from April 3rd to April 4th exclusively via Hello sacai in Tokyo. Let us know what you think of this clean collab, and in related news, Hiroshi Fujiwara might have just teased his next Nike Air Force 1!
